BEDÖMNING (JUDGEMENT)
Installation, 2007

In the installation, that was exhibited at Gallery K1 at Kulturhuset in Stockholm, I stroved to cross-fertilize elements from the life as a competing horse girl and the social norms in the culture sphere. My interest here was mainly informed by the phenomena that we constantly are measured on the basis of how well we perform and look; a complex of problems that exist in all of society.
In the exhibition I tried to push this further by letting the visitor judge the objects that were exhibited. All as an attempt to raise awareness of a behaviour we use all the time to sort our surrounding world. Each object were named after elements in a dressage program and the visitor could judge the works on a scale from 0-10.
In the installation detailes and single works had to step back for a bigger picture and became tools for the centered idea; judgement. There was a big variety of techniques used as sound, video, photography, textile, text, jewelery, furniture design, smell and installation (of course), suggesting the artist suffered from a "good-girl-syndrome" trying to do everything (and nothing) at the same time.
